Fees & FAQs

Information about my fees, your insurance options, therapy locations, and general FAQs

Fees

Individuals

For individuals, my fee is $180 for a 50-minute session.

Families & Couples

For families or couples, my fee is $200 for a 60-minute session.

Insurance

  • I am not in-network with any insurance providers. However, your insurance provider may offer partial reimbursement for mental health services. If you have a PPO, you may be able to receive reimbursement for anywhere from 30-80% of my fee.

  • Call the phone number on the back on your insurance card and ask if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. Sometimes insurance companies use the term “behavioral health” instead.

  • Once you have confirmed that you do have out-of-network benefits, ask your insurance provider how to submit a superbill for reimbursement. Each month I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit. A superbill is much like a detailed receipt.

  • Some additional questions to ask your insurance provider:

    • What is the coverage amount (dollar amount or percentage) per therapy session with an out-of-network therapist?

    • What is my deductible and has it been met?

    • Do my therapy sessions count toward my deductible?

    • Are my benefits limited to a certain number of sessions per year?

FAQs

  • I generally recommend weekly sessions at the beginning of therapy as we get to know each other and build the foundation for our work together. I also find that clients benefit tremendously from the consistency and momentum of weekly sessions. Some clients may eventually shift to sessions every other week if appropriate for their therapy process.

  • This is an important question, and the answer is different for everyone. However, a regular part of my process is checking in with each client to hear how they are feeling about our work together, to make sure their needs are being met, and to ensure that we are aligned on the direction of the therapy. Therapy isn’t always linear or comfortable, but I always want to make sure that my clients feel it is valuable.

  • I ask that you please let me know 24 hours before our session if you will not be able to keep our appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged the full fee.

  • Yes, I currently have a few sessions available (updated June 2025). If you think you might be interested in starting therapy, I invite you to contact me or schedule a consultation directly to my calendar. I look forward to connecting with you.
